Senior Adults

The Senior's Ministry at OCFA exists to serve one another in prayer, worship, visitation, outings and varied means of becoming acquainted with each other. The regular meetings focus on interaction, teaching, reaching out to those in need, and enjoying the unique personalities in the group. Trips to Knott’s Berry Farm, Home Town Buffet, and a Christmas concert at the Salvation Army are a few of the highlights. The seniors also participate in District events such as annual retreats, senior camp, award programs and more. Information on “Senior Camp” held at Camp Pinecrest is available upon request.

The Seniors meet every Tuesday for a worship service from 11:00am-12:00pm in Rooms 102 and 103. This is a traditional service where our seniors come together to sing old time songs and hymns, pray, have testimonies, hear the word of God, and encourage one another.
After the service, we meet in the fireside room from 12 noon to 3:00pm, where we continue our fellowship. We eat, enjoy pot lucks, play games, sing, have a Bible quiz, prizes, laughter, and a devotional. The Bible says in Proverbs 17:12, “A merry heart is like medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones”.

All seniors are welcome to come and enjoy and be part of all senior activities.
